Le programme TALK to US
Le programme "TALK to US, we havent forgotten you", est un programme mis en place par l'assocition, afin de reprendre contact avec nos homologues du New York Police Department, aprés la crise du COVID, ayant provoqué de nombreux bouleversements dans de nombreux domaines.
TALK to US: gardons le contact
Le programme « TALK to US » constitue la porte d’entrée privilégiée pour nos homologues américains, et plus particulièrement new-yorkais, afin d’échanger directement avec les membres de 911-17, de nouer une amitié solide, d’apporter un soutien mutuel et de faire perdurer l’héritage du 11 septembre, qui demeure l’objet principal de l’association.
Initialement mis en place à titre temporaire à l’occasion des Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024, ce programme visait à favoriser le rapprochement avec nos homologues new-yorkais et californiens présents en France.
Face au succès rencontré et à l’intérêt partagé, le programme « TALK to US » a été adopté définitivement le 1er mars 2025.
S’appuyant notamment sur le groupe WhatsApp de l’association 911-17, ce programme constitue désormais un outil essentiel pour assurer la continuité de nos échanges, renforcer nos actions communes et inscrire durablement nos engagements dans le temps.
Keeping up with 911-17
The “TALK to US” program serves as the primary gateway for our American counterparts, particularly those from New York, to communicate directly with members of 911-17, build strong and lasting friendships, provide mutual support, and help preserve the legacy of September 11, which remains the core mission of the association.
Initially implemented on a temporary basis during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the program was designed to foster closer ties with our New York and California counterparts present in France.
In light of its success and the shared interest it generated, the “TALK to US” program was officially adopted on a permanent basis on March 1, 2025.
Supported in particular by the 911-17 Association’s WhatsApp group, this program has now become an essential tool for ensuring continuity in our exchanges, strengthening our joint initiatives, and sustaining our long-term commitments.

Who we are?
L'association 911-17 est une association loi 1901, créée le 17 mars 2004, par dépôt de statuts à la Préfecture de Gironde.
Mais, l'action de 911-17 a débuté au soir des attaques terroristes du mardi 11 septembre 2001.
L'objet de l'association est l'échange, le soutien, la rencontre avec nos homologues du New York Police Department à travers des opérations sportives, culturelles.
Who we are?
The 911-17 Association is a non-profit organization governed by the French 1901 Law, officially established on March 17, 2004, through the filing of its bylaws with the Gironde Prefecture.
However, the actions and commitment of 911-17 began on the evening of the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
The mission of the association is to promote exchange, mutual support, and direct engagement with our counterparts from the New York Police Department, through sports and cultural initiatives.
The purpose of the association is to:
create and follow relationship with our colleagues of the New York Police Department (NYPD).
promote and support this relationship through annual visits and participation in cultural and sporting events.

Is Association 911-17 in partnership with other police forces in the rest of the world?
The mission of the 911-17 Association is centered on building relationships, providing support, and fostering exchanges with the New York Police Department.
We also maintain contact with other U.S. law enforcement agencies encountered during our events in New York.

Les actions de l'associations sont simples et précises.
L'association intervient dans les domaines suivants:
A New York
Les relations humaines entre membres des forces de l'ordre françaises, avec nos homologues du New York Police Department.
Les échanges entre membres de l'association avec nos homologues du New York Police Department (visite de service, de brigades pour aller à la rencontre de nos homologues au cours de nos délégations officielles organisée, la participation a des patrouilles de découvertes avec nos homologues du NYOD)
La participation, comme depuis plus de 20 ans maintenant, aux commémorations du 9/11, aux cotés de nos amis (familles d'amis et familles de collègues concernés) par la tragédie du 9/11.
La participation par la création d'une délégation sportive, à la course Tunnel to Towers, toujours dans le respect dû aux victimes des attaques du 11 septembre 2001 ainsi qu'à leurs familles.
La possibilité d'être accueillis par les instances du NYPD, dans le cadre d'une présentation officielle de l'association et de sa délégation, afin de leur témoigner notre soutien et ce depuis le 9/11/2001.
En France
Les relations humaines entre membres des forces de l'ordre françaises par l'organisation de projets associatifs sportifs ou culturels.
La création d'opérations de soutiens envers nos collègues membres et non membres, dans le cadre de la section "Soutien et Hommage".
Remarque importante
L’association n’interviendra jamais, sur tout ce qui concerne le fonctionnement de l'institution police nationle/gendarmerie nationle.
Toutes questions relatives au fonctionnement, les methodes d'intervention, les stages, entrent dans un cadre professionnel du Ministère de l'Interieur.
L'association vous invite à vous diriger vers le Ministère si votre question concerne ce genre d'actions, rentrant dans le domaine professionnel et non associatif.
Our actions?
Association 911-17 operates in the following areas:
In New York
Promoting human and professional relationships between members of French law enforcement and their counterparts within the New York Police Department.
Facilitating direct exchanges between association members and NYPD personnel, including service visits and unit briefings, as well as organized official delegations aimed at meeting our counterparts in their working environment.
Participating in introductory ride-alongs and discovery patrols with NYPD officers, in accordance with applicable rules and protocols.
Taking part, for more than 20 years, in the September 11 commemorations, alongside our friends, including the families of colleagues and loved ones affected by the tragedy of 9/11.
Participating through the creation of a sports delegation in the Tunnel to Towers Run, always with the utmost respect owed to the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks and their families.
Being received by NYPD leadership and official bodies, within the framework of a formal presentation of the association and its delegation, in order to express our continued support, a commitment maintained since September 11, 2001.
In France
Promoting human connections among French law enforcement personnel through the organization of sports and cultural association projects.
Organizing support and tribute initiatives for colleagues, both members and non-members, through the association’s “Support and Tribute” section.

The association will never intervene in matters relating to the operation, organization, or procedures of the French National Police or National Gendarmerie.
Any questions concerning operational methods, training programs, or professional practices fall strictly within the authority of the French Ministry of the Interior.
For all inquiries of a professional or institutional nature, and not related to the association’s activities, the association invites you to contact the Ministry of the Interior directly.
We remind you that french police association is only an association developed around the friendship and the friendly exchange with our New York Police Department colleagues, since the 9/11, now and for the future.
